Great service and fun and polite staff ! Food was amazing even late at night! I would get the French dip again and again.

I have been curious about this chain and since we were in the area, I made my family stop by here for lunch after my son's baseball game. This place is cute, you walk in to see a bunch of black bear themed merchandise. We got seated right away and were served by Yesenia. She was really nice and provided us with excellent service! Menus are newspapers so that was unique. The menu is pretty big and this restaurants has a lot to choose from. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, BBQ Pork Ribs, Open Faced Turkey Sandwich, Blueberry Pancakes, and Huckleberry lemonade to drink. First off, the portions here are HUGE! Every time Yesenia came by with a plate, all I could say was "whoa!" You definitely get your money's worth here, and I appreciate that especially now when everyone seems to be charging more and scrimping on portions. The huckleberry lemonade was good, but didn't taste anything super special. You get one refill, and I asked if I could have my refill in a takeaway cup so I could bring it home for my other kids to try. It comes garnished with blackberries, which is weird since a huckleberry looks like a blueberry. Everything was tasty, nothing really stood out as being bad. My favorite was the pancakes, they were thick and fluffy and oh so good! Cornbread was delish also. I liked my open faced turkey sandwich - it was like Thanksgiving yumminess in June. My hubby and son said the CF Steak and ribs were good, no complaints which is good since hubby is picky. The chicken tortilla soup had one cube of chicken so I wished there was more in there. Also I wished they had was fresh blueberries for the pancakes. They use blueberries like the canned ones you get in the Betty Crocker blueberry muffin box mix. Overall a great place for huge portions of good eats!

Food is great ,big portions and service is always amazing! Gabriel is just amazing! Great friendly coustumer service ! He is the best !

Ive ordered from BB twice now and I forgot how large the portions are! Perfect for days my family doesn't feel like cooking because we all share and are even left with leftovers. Quality is really good too. Recently ordered their fettuccine alfredo and it was really, flavorful and bountiful without being oily. My toddler loves going for the gift shop area too of course.

I wasn't real hungry, so I ordered the burger basket which is a smaller burger I believe it's a quarter pound. I am telling you that is the best burger I have had in ages. The only thing that compares in my life would be an in and out burger. It was on a fresh grilled brioche bun and the hamburger patty was sooooooo fresh and tasty. I swear it tasted like it was right off the charcoal grill! Everything on it was fresh. I am so sad that I did not take a note of my server name, so whoever was serving Last Thursday at 3:00 PM she was absolutely amazing. The place was almost empty, which is rare. We hit it just at the right time in between lunch and dinner.

Black Near Diner is perfectly suited to having a great meal not a good one but a great one to say the least. The Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner menu is Off The Hook! Black Bears menu is great and the food is always done right and made fresh Hot or Cold Dishes whichever one decides to fancy for their meal. Breakfast is always good especially the Egg Dishes wether one wants a Egg Breakfast with Hash Browns, Bacon or Sausage, Ham, and or Grits. The food preparation is flawless and always a handsome amount brought to you when ordered, especially the Hot Soups, Salads, Hot Bread, Crackers with Soup and Salad as well and the best is the Deserts. If one checks the menu before you dine here you'll see what's available and can be ready prior to your arrival and order when there. The meals are done just right and if one likes a certain meal then the decision is easily made, the Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner is really good especially the Pancake Breakfast, Egg Omelets, Hash Brown Potatoes, Fries, Soup and Salads. Everything here is delicious depending on what your fancy is for that meal, for Breakfast you can't beat the French Toast, Pancakes, or the Biscuits and Egg Platters, they are so good. Lunch is also really good including the Burgers, Sandwiches, and Lunch Platters with Hot Soup, Salad, and Breads it's so good to dine here when your hungry and want a special meal on the menu or even off menu as long as it's reasonable able for them to make it. Deserts are perfect and when you decide on Pie, Ice Cream, Shakes, or Cake you can't loose, I personally from a dining experience High recommend eating here because it's very good and your always sorted out just right.

Whoa, Black Bear Diner FTW! This place exceeded my expectations. Unlike Denny's, BBD has a vast variety of fare to please everyone's diet (not sure about vegan but I am sure you can find something good). I had their chicken sausage scramble, my partner had the chicken fried steak, and the little one had a stack of cub pancakes. We barely finished our food and we were starving. Large portions and super reasonable prices. Wait staff at this location was super friendly and kind. Definitely will come back!
